Can Karadoğan was born in Istanbul in 1975. After graduating from the Deutsche Schule Istanbul, Can completed his B.Sc. degree in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Istanbul Technical University and his M.Sc. degree in Information & Communication Systems at Technische Universitaet Hamburg-Harburg, Germany.
Working as a research assistant between 2005 and 2011, he successfully completed his doctoral studies in sound engineering and design at ITU’s Dr. Erol Üçer Center for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM). Since 2011, he has served as the head of the Music Technology Department at the Turkish State Music Conservatory (TMDK) and as the studio manager of MIAM Recording Studios.
In 2018, he was a guest researcher at the TONLABOR in HAW, Hamburg, where he collaborated with Prof. Thomas Görne on immersive audio projects. Can currently holds the position of director at MIAM and teaches courses on sound engineering and design. He has actively participated in numerous professional recording projects across various genres, serving as an engineer and producer with a focus on classical, Turkish music (TSM), jazz, and rock. In addition to his engineering and producing roles, Can is a singer-songwriter who produces and performs his own music.
Can has been a member of the Audio Engineering Society since 2011.
